Nothing to Hide Program Set to Raise Awareness on Mental Health Issues- Oct. 6 Thu, September 16, 2010 Marywood University's Counseling/Student Development Center and Peers on Wellness will host the ninth annual Nothing to Hide program on Wednesday, October 6, from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. in the Fireplace Lounge, Nazareth Student Center. The program is in response to the tremendous need for education and awareness on mental health issues.
Multiple Perspectives: The Ceramic Sculptures of Anne Currier Exhibit Wed, September 15, 2010 Marywood University presents the exhibition, Multiple Perspectives: The Ceramic Sculptures of Anne Currier today through October 10 in the Suraci Gallery, Shields Center for Visual Arts. A "Meet the Artist" reception will be held on October 8 from 6:30 -8 p.m. The exhibit is offered in conjunction with a workshop on October 9, Multiple Perspectives: A Day with Anne Currier, in the Clay Studio, Insalaco Center for Studio Arts.
"The Maslow Collection: Context and Content Collecting in the 80s and early 90s" On Display Through October 3 Tue, September 14, 2010 Marywood University exhibits The Maslow Collection: Context and Content Collecting in the 80s and early 90s today through October 3 in the Mahady Gallery and Maslow Study Gallery for Contemporary Art, Shields Center for Visual Arts. The exhibit will also be on display at Sordoni Gallery, Wilkes University. The concurrent exhibitions share a common theme of collections from the early 80s and early 90s.
Marywood University Hosts “Good 50 x 70 Poster” Exhibit Tue, September 14, 2010 The Marywood University Art Department will host an exhibit of more than 200 poster designs from Good 50x70, The Social Communication Project (2009 edition.)
New Members Elected to Marywood University Board of Trustees Mon, September 13, 2010 Sister Anne Munley, IHM, Ph.D., Marywood University President, recently announced that two new trustees have been elected to Marywood's Board of Trustees. In addition, a new slate of officers was elected for the 2010-2011 year. Board officers for 2010-2011 include Joan Banick Brooks, Chair; Marion Munley, Vice Chair; Antonia M. Schierling, Secretary, and Richard P. Kane, Treasurer. Newly-elected trustees are Peter J. Danchak and Mary Kay Rotert.
