Marywood University Professor Hosts Community Screening of Race to Nowhere – A Documentary Exploring Standardized Testing in Schools Mon, November 29, 2010 Marywood University Assistant Professor of Education and Educational Leadership, Dr. Joseph Polizzi will be hosting a community showing of the hitting education expose documentary, Race to Nowhere at the Dietrich Theater on East Tioga Street at 1:30pm Sunday, December 5. A discussion session with a panel of seasoned education experts spanning specialties and experiences will be included in the presentation. Race to Nowhere is part of a nationwide movement of community screenings that use the film as the centerpiece for a growing national dialogue on the dangers and pitfalls of education's current "race to nowhere" mentality and ignite a call for change.
