Service Opportunity: Help Build Waverly Playground-Aug 24-28

The Waverly Community Center (The Comm) is seeking volunteers, August 24-28, to rebuild the playground through the generous support of community volunteers, more than 150 each day. Both skilled and unskilled volunteers are needed for various roles. Volunteer shifts are being scheduled each day in 4 hour allotments beginning at 8 a.m. through 12 p.m., 12:30 - 4 p.m. and 4 - 8 p.m. Meals will be provided. Flea Market

Campus Ministry will be having the bi-annual flea market on Friday, October 21, 2011, 8 a.m. - 7 p.m., Latour Room, Nazareth Hall. All proceeds benefit the Campus Ministry Service Trips. Donations are accepted at Campus Ministry, Swartz Center for Spiritual Life, from now until Tuesday, October 18. All items accepted except clothing and shoes.

American Red Cross Blood Drive

Campus Ministry is sponsoring an American Red Cross Blood Drive on Tuesday, September 13, 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. in the Latour Room, Nazareth Hall. You can schedule an approximate time to donate on Friday or Monday, Sept. 9 and 12. There will be a sign-up table outside the First Stop Cafe, Regina Hall. You are also welcome to just stop by, without an appointment on the day of the drive. For information, call (570) 961-4723. Volunteers to help at the drive are also needed.
