Dr. Omer Taspinar Presents Obama’s Foreign Policy: Engagement with the Muslim World- Oct. 6 Tue, September 22, 2009 Marywood University presents Obama's Foreign Policy: Engagement with the Muslim World on Tuesday, October 6, at 5:30 p.m. in the Latour Room, Nazareth Student Center. This event is free and open to the public. Featured will be a conversation between Omer Taşpinar, Ph.D., of the Brookings Institute, and Ali H. Aslan, from the International Daily Zaman, Washington D.C. The program will be followed by a reception.
Faculty News: Steven Alexander Has Work Recognized Mon, September 21, 2009 Steven Alexander, Associate Professor of Art, will serve on the National Screening Committee for the 2010-2011 Fulbright Scholarships in Painting at United Nations Plaza, New York City, on November 20.
Day to Day: Photographs by Ivana Pavelka Fri, September 18, 2009 Day to Day, a collection of photographs by artist Ivana Pavelka, is on display in the Shields Center for Visual Arts’ Suraci Gallery from today through October, 18. A Gallery Talk will take place on September 23 at 2 p.m. and an Artist’s Reception is set for October 11 from 3-5 p.m. Both the exhibit and reception will take place concurrently with Jordan Taylor’s installation in the Mahady Gallery, entitled Clay and Light.
