Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Opportunities - Monday, January 21

On Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Monday, January 21, honor the legacy of Dr. King through service! There are two opportunities available: - Youth Service Day: Assist 110 children from the community in learning about Dr. King and creating cards and crafts for local seniors and snack bags for homeless people. Big Friends/Little Friends - Volunteer Opportunity

After School Program at Valley View Housing Development Children need mentors to help with their homework and in planning fun activities. You can sign up to go on Monday or Thursday, 2:30 until 4:40 p.m. Volunteers are especially needed for Thursdays! Transportation is provided. Help a child be the best they can be. Students, Staff Lend a Hand after Hurricane Sandy

Since Hurricane Sandy hit the East Coast, Marywood has assisted with relief efforts by sending 78 volunteers to flooded areas and donating more than 1000 items to those impacted by the storm.

District 9 Festival Orchestra to Perform at Marywood

One hundred area high school students will put on a concert on January 11 in the Sette LaVerghetta Center for Performing Arts. The orchestra will be conducted by Nathanial Parker.
