Marywood Theatre Presents: Sleeping Beauty (or The Famous Rose Taboo)SLEEPING BEAUTY (or THE FAMOUS ROSE TABOO) is a musical version of the famous fairy tale -- with a decidedly modern twist to it. It is a delightful reworking of the classic Sleeping Beauty tale including good fairy godmothers, a mistake-prone king, his wiser queen, a prince charming who longs to be a hero and a princess who longs to find a hero. And, of course, there is a bad fairy – who sings that it’s very “unfair-y” that she has never been chosen to be a godmother. This musical should appeal to a wide age range - from very young children to the young at heart of all ages! There is only one public performance: Saturday, April 27, 2013, starting at 11 AM in the Sette LaVerghetta Performing Arts Center Free General Admission – No reservations. The performance is about one hour long with no intermission.
