Marywood Junior Wind Band Celebration

The award winning Marywood University Junior Wind Band Celebration is held annually for wind, brass, and percussion students in grades 7-9. Students rehearse and perform with esteemed band clinicians and conductors from throughout the country. Directors also have the opportunity to observe best practices in wind and percussion studies. After two days of rehearsal, the students will perform a concert on Saturday night. This year’s clinicians include Erin Brodie Cole Steele from Hal Leonard Corporation, Deborah Sounart from Kenai Central High School, and Erin Bray from Karns Middle School. Free admission

Marywood Chamber Singers Performance

The Marywood University Chamber Singers are a select choral ensemble featuring both music majors and non-majors by audition only. The Chamber Singers will perform a concert of British choral music for its popular annual Christmas concert. Works by the outstanding young composer Owain Park will be juxtaposed with carols and other pieces by William Byrd, Bob Chilcott, Philip Stopford, Richard Rodney Bennett, Jonathan Rathbone, Richard Allain, and Nigel Short. String Project Holiday Gala

Come and celebrate with a Holiday Gala concert from outstanding young string players in Marywood's award winning String Project. The concert will feature three string orchestras and students ages 4-18. Admission is free.
