Established in 2002, Marywood University's String Project is an after-school, pre-collegiate string program for students ages 5-18. Students take small-group lessons in violin, viola, cello and double bass, participate in orchestra and perform in concerts.
Wind Band Celebrations
Beginning in fall 2009, the University restructured its band festival event into a new ensemble experience for junior high students. Approximate 160 students participated in the two-day wind band celebration held at Marywood (Celebration Band and Honors Band). In 2010-2011, the program added a second, separate band clinic for senior high.
