Alumni

Marywood University music alumni hold academic and leadership positions in a variety of professional settings throughout the country. They work as vocal or instrumental music teachers in elementary and secondary schools; university faculty members; principals and supervisors in public and private schools; and church organists. Board Certified Music Therapists work in health-care systems, schools, or private practice. Alumni perform as soloists and members of performing ensembles throughout the region, including the Northeastern Philharmonic, Binghamton (NY) Philharmonic, Allentown Band, Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra; and are independent studio teachers.

Locally, graduates perform with the University's choral, wind, and orchestra, and jazz ensembles. Marywood alumni continue to share their professional expertise with current undergraduate students as music education mentors and cooperating teachers, music therapy clinical site supervisors, and guest lecturers.

The music department maintains active contact with its alumni, communicating news about degree programs, faculty, facilities, concerts and cultural events through the department newsletter. A comprehensive database of alumni addresses, maintained by the music department and shared with the University alumni office, has helped us keep in touch with former students through the years.

Congratulations to our 2008-09 Graduates!
