Requirements for the B.S. in Math/Secondary Education

A minimum of 126 credits is required of every Marywood student in order to graduate. For the Math/Secondary Ed major, 39 credits of this total must be in mathematics, 59 credits in general education (also referred to as the core requirements), and 27 credits in professional education. Unless indicated otherwise, each course listed is 3 credits. The required mathematics and education courses are given below. It is possible to fulfill the speech requirement by passing a place-out exam given each semester. Similarly, certain advanced placement scores may serve to exempt a student from the writing skills requirement.
