A minimum of 126 credits is required of every Marywood student in order to graduate. For the mathematics major, 40 credits of this total must be in mathematics and 63 credits must be in general education (also referred to as the core requirements). This allows 23 free credits that may be applied to a minor. The required mathematics courses are given below. (Each course listed is 3 credits except Math 499 which is one credit.) It is possible to fulfill the speech requirement by passing a place-out exam given each semester. Similarly, certain advanced placement scores may serve to exempt a student from the writing skills requirement.
