Marywood Alumni Successful in Local Elections

The November 2011 election cycle saw many Marywood University alumni winning their respective races and joining the public service ranks of different civic bodies in Northeast PA:

Joanne Corbett ’75 is the new Magisterial District Judge in South Scranton
  and surrounding neighborhoods
Patty Lawler ’71 was elected to the Clarks Summit Borough Council
Cynthia Lempicky ’79 has been elected North Abington Township Auditor
Scott Thorpe ’93 has been elected South Abington Tax Collector
Mary Rinaldi ’71 won her third term as Lackawanna County Clerk
  of Judicial Records
Marc Gaughan ’83 was elected to the Moscow Borough Council
Sharon Volpe ’91 was elected Spring Brook Township Auditor
Joseph A. Durkin ’74 was elected as Dunmore School Director
Gerald Luchansky ’71 and Donna Dixon ’72 were elected
  Mid Valley School Directors
Jeffrey R. Kovaleski ’98, ’03 was elected to Dickson City Borough Council
Lorraine Stevens ’70 was elected to the Jessup Borough Council
Jo Ann Jason ’93 was elected to the Olyphant Borough Council
David Repchick ’10 was elected to the Throop Borough Council
Richard A. Bombick ’93 was elected Lake-Lehman School Director
