Greetings from the MAA President
Wow! What a great way to kick off Marywood’s Centennial than with our biggest Alumni Weekend ever. From the Class of 1965 to the Class of 2015 and every alum before and in between, it is always great to relive the memories with everyone who comes back. On behalf of the Marywood Alumni Association Board of Directors, I want to thank all of the volunteers, office staff, and alumni for a perfect three days.
As I move into my second year as the Board President it gives me great pleasure to tell you that our board is hard at work to make this the strongest association ever. Our Action Plan has dedicated various committees to help engage as many alumni as possible.
In addition to the Centennial Day of Service on September 10, the Service Committee of the MAA Board will announce more service opportunities that will include all Marywood alumni.
The Graduates of the Last Decade, or GOLD, continue to survey and connect with our younger alumni, who are looking for different ways to keep in touch with the University. Finally, our Chapter Committee is putting forth a plan to help our chapters and affinity groups become stronger.
If you are looking to network, tell stories, or just to visit, please make it a point to come to one of our gatherings. If you currently get together with other alumni, please let us know.
I want to personally invite you to our September events on campus. If you cannot attend, then plan on making our on-the-road Centennial events.
Tell your classmates, friends, and teammates that Marywood is in celebration mode. We need our alumni!
Bob Ide, MAA Board President
