Interfaith Service

Interfaith Service at Marywood University

The White House recently issued a call to U.S. colleges and universities to make interfaith cooperation and community service a priority this academic year. Because this initiative resonates with our mission and core values, Marywood has decided to join the 250 institutions nationwide that are participating in the President's Interfaith and Community Service Campus Challenge.

As part of this year-long initiative, a task force of students, faculty, and staff are planning and coordinating activities that are rooted in interfaith service.

Marywood is part of the Better Together campaign, a national initiative designed to mobilize students in addressing significant social issues and building interfaith cooperation. Marywood joins universities across the nation in the campaign sponsored by the Interfaith Youth Core, a student led organization dedicated to fostering fellowship, conversation, and community engagement among all people.

Better Together Marywood offers a safe space designed to help others engage in inter-religious conversation, affirming your own tradition while learning and understanding the practices, beliefs and values of others. Involvement is encouraged and open to people of all religious and non-religious traditions. We are looking for students who seek to make a difference in the world through collaborative local community service projects.
