Background

BACKGROUND

Kerri is a 1993 graduate of the State University of New York, at Oneonta, with a major in Dietetics. She completed her dietetic internship at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio and was the recipient of the Sister Romuald Award for Outstanding Dietetic Intern. Kerri brings with her a variety of experiences from various fields (community nutrition, food service operations and clinical nutrition) at different operational levels (from staff dietitian to assistant manager of clinical operations).

Recently her clinical focus has been in the field of Nutrition Support, working four years in intensive care units (Medical, Surgical and Burn). Kerri has been a mentor/ preceptor for dietetic internships (Good Samaritan Hospital, Augusta Area Dietetic Association and United States Military Dietetic Internship Consortium). She has guest lectured in clinical nutrition for dietetic interns, community organizations, medical residents/fellows and allied health professionals.

Holding numerous leadership positions, Kerri served as Captain in the United States Army, President of the Augusta Area Dietetic Association, Board Member to the Georgia Dietetic Association, and President of the Clermont County Breastfeeding Coalition. Kerri is a recipient of the 2002 Recognized Young Dietitian Award for Georgia and the Meritorious Service Medal for the United States Army.
