Effects of Curcumin Supplement on Exercise-Induced Muscle Damage and Inflammation following Plyometric Exercise

Status: Enrolling

The Purpose of this study is to find out how taking a supplement made from  curcumin affects inflammation and recovery  following an acute bout of plyometric exercise. Curcumin has been found to reduce signs of muscle damage and inflammation, exhibits anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects, and has the potential to positively impact the future incidence and management of muscle soreness and inflammation.  Jarrow Formulas, a formulator and supplier of nutrition supplements, is providing the study supplement.

Healthy Men and women between between 18 and 45 years of age may be eligible to participate. Contact Marywood University's Human Physiology Lab for more information.
