Human Physiology Laboratory: Metabolic Systems

Metabolic Systems

AEI Moxus and MaxII systems

The AEI Moxus and MaxII systems (Applied Electrochemistry Technologies) utilize a turbine volume transducer and mixing chamber, along with gas analyzers measure to oxygen and Carbon dioxide consumption at rest and during exercise.

PowerLab data acquisition unit

The PowerLab data acquisition unit, with LabChart software (ADInstruments) is utilized in the HPL to extract data form the various monitoring and testing devices. The data can then be viewed in graphic or tabular form in one centralized location, providing a more efficient means of analysis and interpretation of data for the researcher.

Viasys Spectra system

Viasys Spectra system utilizes a mass flow sensor and gas analyzers to measure oxygen and Carbon dioxide consumption at rest and during exercise.
