About Us

Marywood University's 4000 square foot Human Physiology Lab is one of the area's leading sites for student research and clinical trials.  Our site Director is Dr. Kenneth W. Rundell, a 25+ year veteran in the field of physiologic research specializing in the respiratory system.  He has worked with such distinguished committees as the U.S. Olympic Committee, the International Olympic Committee and the American Thoracic Society, American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology.

Prior to heading the research team at Marywood University, Dr. Rundell was a Senior Sports Physiologist at the Olympic Training Center at Lake Placid and has been internationally recognized for his research in Sports Science with a specialty in Exercise Induced Bronchoconstriction and Asthma.

In addition to Dr. Rundell, our site also includes a Medical Director, a full-time Research Coordinator, a full-time Respiratory Therapy Technician, a certified medical assistant, and several graduate and research students.  Our well versed, detail oriented staff, ensures that protocols are well managed and assures sponsors that accurate information is received.

The Human Physiology Lab at Marywood also utilizes several Sub-Investigators to meet the needs of specific clinical protocols:
