Maryann Clark Maria (Marywood Alumni) gives thanks

As I count the cooling pies on my kitchen counter this night before Thanksgiving, I am reminded of the Marywood home ec nuns who deserve my thanks. Sr. Romaine is on my mind particularly. Through the years, I have often felt that it was her hand that kept my rolling pin on the pie dough instead of glancing off the head of one of my seven mischievous sons. Her calm, gracious efficiency is my ideal and I am grateful to her and all of my Marywood teachers for giving me the skills needed to enjoy eight children and also have a 33 year teaching career.
