Jay P. Clymer, III, Ph.D., is a longtime Marywood faculty member who has continually made research contributions to the regional community through his expertise in environmental science.
Dr. Clymer recently received a grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection to instruct area teachers about the value of watersheds.
He takes his knowledge beyond the classroom, serving as a faculty mentor for Marywood's student environmental club, Pugwash. Dr. Clymer is also Chairman of the Board of the Lackawanna County Conservation District and a member of the Northeastern Pennsylvania Environmental Alliance.
"I enjoy the environmental consciousness of this institution," Dr. Clymer said. "Our students are activists, engaging in events like Earth Day, Kidstuff, and national and international service missions."
