2018-2019 Graduate Scholarship Application
Ph.D. in Administration & Leadership
All materials must be submitted by April 15, 2018
Dear Doctoral Scholarship Applicant,
File a complete admissions application. It is fully expected that each prospective student who is a scholarship applicant will have a complete admissions application on file with the Office of Graduate Admissions by the declared deadline. The admissions application provides the supporting documentation necessary to evaluate a scholarship application. Acceptance into the Ph.D. Program is a prerequisite to receiving scholarship funds.
Complete the scholarship application electronically.
Complete the scholarship essay. Please type an essay (300-500 words) reflecting upon your educational goals and professional aims.
Email the essay in Microsoft Word to firstname.lastname@example.org. Your essay should contain your name, Marywood Student ID number, and field of study at the top of the page.
If you have any questions about completing these forms, please contact the Financial Aid Office at email@example.com or (570) 348-6211 ext 4500.
Scholarship selection results will be emailed in May. Scholarships are available for use beginning Fall semesters; they may only be used to defray the cost of tuition for Marywood courses.
Students awarded graduate assistantships for the academic year who accept those positions are not eligible to receive scholarship awards as well.
Marywood University will not award scholarships to students in the dissertation phase of the doctoral program or allow portions of previously awarded scholarships to defray the cost of dissertation credits due to the direct costs incurred by the University in the provision of mentorship and supervision of the disseration process for each doctoral student.
Neither scholarship nor assistantship awards are renewed automatically each year. It is the responsibility of the student to reapply each academic year.
