AEL Ceremony and Symbols

Each spring students selected for membership to Theta Chapter of the Alpha Epsilon Lambda Honor Society of Marywood University are invited to attend the AEL Induction Dinner and Ceremony.  Your notification of acceptance to Theta Chapter will have ceremony information and RSVP instructions.

The dinner and featured speaker immediately precede the induction ceremony. The ceremony provides the opportunity for newly selected members to be inducted among their family and friends.  The name and major of each student is read. Upon the reading of your name, you will be asked to come forward to meet the Academic Dean of your college and receive your certificate, pin, and academic cords.

The AEL certificate, suitable for framing, contains your full name and the date of your induction. The AEL pin and the crimson and grey cords should become part of your academic regalia.  The pin and cords may be worn at the Marywood University graduation ceremony or at any other event that requires academic attire.

If you should have question about the Theta Chapter of Alpha Epsilon Lambda Honor Society, the honor society of graduate and professional students, at Marywood University please contact us.
