OPEN AN ADVENTURE

help a child learn to read!

Reading is a key to success in education and in life. Unfortunately, many children fall behind in school because they do not learn to read early and read well. If you can read, you can help. Parents, students, seniors, business people - anyone willing to give at least one hour a week to read to a child or help a child to read can become a tutor.

Your local America Reads program will match you with a child in your community, and literacy specialists will provide you with materials, training, and guidance to make your tutoring experience both rewarding and effective.

Become a tutor!
