Healing Through Art: Watercolors by CLIFF ENRIGHT
Sep 09, 2013 - Oct 20, 2013
The Smithsonian Institution and Albright–Knox Art Gallery are among the many venues Cliff Enright’s paintings have been exhibited, and are found in numerous collections including Mt. Sinai Medical Center and Johnson & Johnson Corporation. In 2003 the New York artist and teacher suffered a spinal cord injury and became a quadriplegic. Through intense physical therapy he was able to hold a brush again, and invented a method that enabled him to continue painting. Along with the help of an assistant, Enright now paints more than before his injury. A prolific artist, his vibrant and energetic abstract watercolors utilize colors reflective of nature and celebrate life.
