Our Natural Call to Art Therapy

This exhibition focuses on the work of fourteen art therapy students, highlighting their appreciation for their major and potential career paths.  The students express their views of art therapy, sharing a quote to reflect how it contributes to each of their lives.  Students with work included are: Allison Ham (Easton, PA), Alexis Ledner (East Stroudsburg, PA), Alexis Leonard (Southold, NY), Jennifer Matthes (Berkeley Heights, NJ), Kristie McNeill (Greenville, NY), Ashley Myers (Monroe, CT), Lauren Nicholson (West Chester, PA), Paige Owings (Hanover, PA), Sarah Pfiel (Philadelphia, PA), Sarah Schaeffer (Scranton, PA), Ashley Smith (Alburtis, PA), Rachel Stump (Fleetwood, PA), Sonia Varela (Alajuela, Costa Rica), and Noreen Vogel (Milford, PA).

These students belong to the Marywood University Student Art Therapy Association (MUSATA), which is a departmental club composed of graduate and undergraduate art therapy students with the support of the Marywood art therapy faculty.

Under the direction of advisor Stephanie Wise, the purpose of MUSATA is to network, share personal, artistic, educational, and overall professional growth opportunities. This group strives to promote art therapy as a means of life improvement. MUSATA seeks out volunteer opportunities so that its members can gain experience with a variety of populations while lending a helping hand in accordance with Marywood's curricular goal of service learning.
