I have fond memories of traveling to Guatemala in December of 2010. I was able to do service, which I love, and practice my Spanish speaking abilities.

I plan to speak Spanish everyday in a classroom environment and I hope to inspire others to learn the language I love.

Activities at Marywood: Women's Soccer Team and Captain, SGA
Marywood Memory: My first class with Dr. Reyes when he told Alexa and me to get out and we thought we were in trouble. We were literally shaking!  It turned out we were in the wrong class level.  It’s something we still laugh about today!

Activities at Marywood: Admissions Ambassador, Marywood Campus Choir, Net Impact (Business Association/Club), World Language Club
Marywood Memory: Going on a trip to NYC with the Spanish club to see works by Sorolla and Goya and going to an Entrepreneurship Conference with Dr. Speicher and other business students

Major: Pre-physician Assistant, Spanish minor
Activities at Marywood: Lab assistant, resident assistant, biology club, American chemical society, international and national service trips, big house Christian living community, ski/snowboard club, Pre-Physician Assistant Society, ALLY Club
Marywood Memory: I had the opportunity to travel to Mexico on a service trip with Campus Ministry during Spring Break 2010. It was an incredible learning experience.

My ultimate goal is to do service work abroad, but domestically I hope to better serve my community through Spanish. The language will allow me to connect better with patients, especially in underserved and disadvantaged areas.
