El Greco en Nueva York

On Saturday, January 24th, 2015, a group of undergraduate and graduate students from the foreign language department traveled to New York City to see the "El Greco in New York". The exhibit, which is on display until February 1, 2015, commemorates the 400th anniversary of the death of El Greco.

Congratulations to Rebecca Schwalb! In July, she is off to South Korea to begin working as a Fulbright Teaching Assistant. We wish her the best of luck!

Spanish Student Granted a Fulbright Scholarship!

William Fulbright, 1983 The Program was established in 1946 under legislation introduced by late Senator J. William Fulbright of Arkansas and is sponsored by the United States Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA). Approximately 325,400 “Fulbrighters,” 122,800 from the United States and 202,600 from other countries, have participated in the Program since its inception more than sixty years ago. The Fulbright Program awards approximately 8,000 grants annually. Currently, the Fulbright Program operates in over 155 countries worldwide.' - See more at:

2014 Alternative Spring Break Service Trip to Duran, Ecuador

Twelve Marywood students and two faculty members will leave March 1st for an alternative service break trip to Durán, Ecuador. Students will participate in various service activities, including teaching children English and interacting with the community.
