Ashley Thiel and Monica Bixby

Ashley Thiel and Monica Bixby

Weak US job market? We're off to Spain!

2011 graduates, Ashley Thiel and Monica Bixby, are heading to Spain this September to further their foreign language experience. Ashley will be teaching high school English in El País Vasco, while Monica's role will be that of a Language and Culture Assistant in Madrid. Previously, the girls had met with D. Jesús Álvarez, director of the Education Office of the Embassy of Spain, at Marywood.

AS LUDWIG WITTGENSTEIN SAID, "The limits of my language mean the limits of world". A DEGREE IN FOREIGN LANGUAGE MAKES YOU A CITIZEN OF THE WORLD. EXPAND YOUR HORIZONS AT MARYWOOD.

One language sets you in a corridor for life. Two languages open every door along the way. - Frank Smith, 1994
