If you read one book about the Beatles, Here, There and Everywhere would be the best choice. Written in part by their recording engineer (Geoff Emerick), this book is a fascinating inside look at their career. Emerick was in the studio from their audition for EMI all the way to Abby Road and helped record some of Paul McCartney's solo work as well. Giving anecdotes that only someone who has first-hand experience can supply, this book will change how you listen to the Beatles.
