Education Department: Family and Consumer Science K-12 Certification

Are you interested in teaching individuals about the everyday responsibilities of life, like balancing a check book or cooking a meal?


The Family and Consumer Sciences Education program will prepare you to teach in elementary, middle, and high school settings. The concepts taught focus on financial resource management, child development, nutrition, and balancing work, family, and career. In our program, you'll have the opportunity to learn through practical application.
