Since graduating from Marywood in 2008, I have been on a mission. I not only received the skills and knowledge to educate what I hope to be the "leaders and decision makers of tomorrow," at Marywood- but more importantly, I learned what it means to have zest, passion, joy, and love for others; and I am determined to spread that love for life and knowledge as far as my two feet will take me. Since graduating, I have participated in Habitat for Humanity's Global Village Program in Ecuador, completed a year of service in Eastern Kentucky with Americorps through the Christian Appalachian Project, gained my M.Ed in Community Art at Lesley University in Boston, and spent time back in the mountains coordinating After-School and GED programs. I now find myself in Houston's Third Ward working for KIPP Houston Public Schools as a Teaching Fellow, and I am eagerly awaiting August when I will be a First Grade Lead Teacher, as well as the Value Coordinator for my school.
