Joan Cooper Bonczek
Class of 2011, MS in Higher Education AdministrationCurrent Position: Program Director and Chairperson of the Radiologic Technology Department, Johnson College, Dickson City, PA.
“I can say without hesitation that MU prepared me to excel and lead in my profession. MU allowed me to recognize, develop and advance in my professional career.”
My name is Joan Cooper Bonczek, and as a Marywood Alumni I would like to share some of the wonderful life events that came to fruition as a result of my education at Marywood.
I entered the Higher Education Administration master’s degree program at Marywood University in 2009. I obtained two undergraduate degrees from another University and was working at Johnson College, Scranton, PA in their Radiologic Technology Program. My position there was that of the Clinical Coordinator.
During the two years I was attending Marywood, I served on various committees at Johnson College where my leadership skills were tested and eventually became evident. A great deal of my course work was directly applied to the day to day challenges I faced. I was able to meet all of these challenges without hesitation and with enormous grace and perseverance.
When I graduated with my master’s degree in 2011 I was then promoted to Program Director and Chairperson of the Radiologic Technology Department.
I can say without hesitation that MU prepared me to excel and lead in my profession. MU allowed me to recognize, develop and advance in my professional career.
