Class of 2012,MS in Higher Education AdministrationCurrent Position: Associate Director of Admissions and Transfer Coordinator at Keystone College
“The connections I made at Marywood have proven to be very valuable. I learned just as much from classmates as I did from the coursework.”
My name is Jennifer Sekol and I graduated in 2012 from Marywood University with a Master of Science in Higher Education Administration. I am currently the Associate Director of Admissions and Transfer Coordinator at Keystone College. I recruit transfer students and manage the school's transfer articulation agreements. I work with transfer and adult students, online students, and Veterans; assisting them with the pre-enrollment process. I held this position throughout my graduate studies, but all that I learned and the research I completed while at Marywood has helped me grow in my role significantly and expand my skills in a broad range of areas including writing, interpersonal communications, counseling, advising, and research. The connections I made at Marywood have proven to be very valuable. I learned just as much from classmates as I did from the coursework. I really loved the close-knit communities within the individual academic programs at Marywood and the small classes that provided an interesting learning environment and fostered stimulating discussion.
I volunteer every year as a new student orientation leader at Keystone College, and am involved in the greater campus community through fundraising activities and various committee memberships. I hold professional memberships with the National Association of College Admission Counseling (NACAC), Middle States Association of Collegiate Registrars and Officers of Admission (MSACROA), and the Association for the Study of Transfer Students (ASTS). I have presented at an annual MSACROA conference and at the Noel-Levitz National Conference on Recruitment, Marketing and Retention. Outside of work I am busy spending time with my husband, our 6 month old son, and our pets; and am an active member of my church.
