Benefactor Spotlight

Atty. Joseph and Claire Rosato Tedesco ’42, The Legacy Society

Joseph Tedesco and Claire Rosato Tedesco

Joseph and Claire Rosato Tedesco '42 wanted to invest in the future of Marywood University and its students. They chose to establish the Tedesco Rosato Endowed Scholarship, enhanced by a generous deferred pledge agreement.  The scholarship, in memory of their parents, will assist undergraduate students majoring in education and/or criminal justice.

"It was inevitable that we would ultimately establish this scholarship at Marywood to help perpetuate the I.H.M. ethical and spiritual values of justice, social responsibility, and service to others," Mrs. Tedesco said.

By making the deferred pledge agreement a part of their estate plans, the Tedescos have further assured the future of Marywood University and are recognized as charter members of the Marywood Legacy Society.

The Marywood Legacy Society honors those benefactors who have established planned gifts with Marywood University or who have named Marywood as a beneficiary in their estate plans, either through a bequest, deferred pledge agreement, trust, gift annuity, pooled income fund, life insurance policy, or retirement account.
