Phi Alpha Theta, Iota Sigma Chapter. National History Honor Society for Undergraduate Students.

Sigma Delta Kappa. National Honor Society for Criminal Justice.

Pi Gamma Mu.
National Social Science Honor Society for Undergraduate Students.

Criminal Justice Club. This club, open to undergraduate and graduate students in Criminal Justice, sponsors activities which complement the University's criminal justice curriculum. This includes field trips, lectures, career presentations by professionals in the field, and socials.

The History Society: Sigma Pi Mu.This society is open to all Marywood students. It sponsors and promotes the study of History and current events.


Social Science Department Awards

The Jordan Medal. Awarded annually to a graduating senior majoring in any field in the department who has exemplified excellence in the social sciences.

The Barrett Medal. Awarded annually to a student majoring in History/Political Science/Pre Law or Criminal Justice who has achieved distinction in that field.

The Lenahan Scholarship. Awarded in the Junior or Senior year to a student enrolled in the Pre Law major. Eligibility is based on overall performance in the Legal Assistant program.

The Lawyers Auxiliary to the Lackawanna Bar Association Award. An annual monetary award presented by this organization to a Marywood student from Lackawanna County who has been accepted at law school in the coming semester. Selection is made by the Program Advisor and based on academic excellence in the field of pre-law.
