Psychology Technology

State-of-the-art technology permeates the entire McGowan Center for Graduate and Professional Studies (which houses the Psychology and Counseling Department). Virtually all classrooms are equipped with computers which are tied-in with sophisticated video and projection systems. This allows instructors and students to fully utilize multimedia in the classroom from on-screen presentations to live Internet searches.

Technology also abounds in the many computer labs available within the McGowan Center. Students have access to both computer classrooms and a drop-in lab equipped with Windows® personal computers.

More specialized technology is housed within the the Psychological Services Center. Here students can have access to therapy rooms equipped with one-way glass and closed circuit TV for training exercises and observation.

Students can also make use of shared research space within the McGowan Center. These spaces are equipped with computers for data collection and analysis, as well as video equipment for observation, recording or playback purposes.

Finally, the Stress/Neuropsychology Labs provide recources necessary to conduct stress innoculation/biofeedback training, neuropsychological assessment, and video editing. These labs allow for observation from other locations through either one-way glass or closed circuit TV.

Place a call to our Admissions Department and schedule a campus visit. And don't forget to tour the McGowan Center while you are here. You'll be surprised at the level of technology available to our psychology students!
