Alumni

English Department graduates are often leaders in their communities. They promote the arts, run their own businesses, and work as volunteers in service to others. Touching the future, many teach English at the secondary and college levels, passing on their passion for language and literature to the next generation.

Approximately 30 percent of graduates go on to graduate school right after earning their baccalaureate degree. They attend some of the best research institutions in the nation, and many enter their graduate program with an assistantship or fellowship. Recent graduates have gone on to study at Auburn University, Binghamton University, New York University, University of Colorado, and University of Brno (Czech Republic).

Touchstones, our alumni newsletter, is mailed to over 130 graduates. Past issues are available on this site. Check out what the English Department has been doing lately!
