Janet Bisset Ph.D.- Department of
Communication Sciences and Disorders
Chairperson.
I continue to be excited about teaching and
interacting with students after being at Marywood
for 21 years. I enjoy being around students and
colleagues who are committed to improving quality
of life through improved communication. I am
originally from Michigan and I attended Michigan
State University before going to the mid south to
earn my Ph.D. from the University of Memphis. I
completed a post-doctoral fellowship in medical
speech pathology at the Mayo Clinic. My research
interests are in adult neurogenics and the
highlight of my week is supervising our adult
aphasia group. I enjoy being at Marywood because it
attracts thoughtful, committed individuals who care
about people, who care about life.
