Master of Arts in Studio Art
The Master of Arts in Studio Art is a 36 credit program with 18 credits of concentration. The Master of Arts in Studio Art is intended for graduates of schools and departments of art/art education who want to develop their talents as studio artists, illustrators and graphic designers. Study with outstanding practitioners in these fields acts as a springboard for further professional growth and education. There are two tracks within the M.A. Studio Art program: "fine" art and "applied" art. The "fine" art track provides concentration within a studio area of emphasis (painting, clay, fibers, interior architecture, metal, printmaking, photography). The "applied" art track in illustration and graphic design is for working professionals and is scheduled so that they may continue to maintain full-time employment. Further information is available upon request from the Art Department.
