Dr. Ramachandra presents at NAOP Conference

Dr. Vijayachandra Ramachandra, Associate Professor in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders was one of the highlighted speakers at the 28th Congress of the National Academy of Psychology which was held in New Delhi (India) from December 19th-21st, 2018. In his talk titled "The Different Avatars of Sound Symbolism", he presented research from his lab and current evidence from literature to discuss the connection between sound symbolism and synesthesia, how it is processed in the brain, its role in language acquisition in children, and language recovery in individuals with aphasia. He also chaired a technical session on Cognitive Psychology at this conference.
