Program Overview

The Marywood University Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) department provides academic course work and clinical experiences that prepare students for professional work in the field of speech-language pathology, audiology, or deaf studies, according to the standards set forth by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). Certified graduates of the master's degree program work in private practice and institutional settings (schools, hospitals, elderly care facilities).

Program Highlights

  • There are three degree tracks for students to choose from in the Academic Program.
  • The academic program emphasizes preparation for professional accreditation and certification through the Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Students in the CSD program have access to a state-of-the-art Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic, as well as individual clinical preparation space.
  • CSD Students receive close advisory attention from a dedicated faculty and professional staff.
  • Marywood University CSD Students are very active in campus clubs as well as national professional organizations in the Communication Sciences and Disorders field.
