The Addictions Recovery Devotional Workbook, authored by James E. Phelan ’94, provides practical applications each week in a way that can enhance readers’ lives through the Bible. God’s Word offers an array of examples that can help us in our life’s domination struggles. Each week this workbook offers a segment from Scripture, then drawing on that Scripture, makes a way for which the person in recovery can apply it to their life in a way that can help transform change.

Daily application can be achieved through doing, talking, thinking, reading or writing. Each practical devotion ends in a prayer that is meant to connect the reader and God in a way that reflects this application. Each one offers new opportunities for advancing key issues necessary for recovery.

The author received his doctorate degree in Psychology (Psy.D) from California Southern University, his Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from Marywood University, and diploma in Biblical Studies from Liberty University. He is a Board Certified Diplomate in Clinical Social Work (BCD) and an Internationally Certified Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor (ICADC). He is also a veteran, having served the U.S. Army, U.S. Army Reserves, and the U.S. Air Force. The Addictions Recovery Devotional Workbook is available from online booksellers.
