Student Life Committee

Purpose & Function

The Student Life Committee advises the Vice President for Enrollment Services and Student Success on:

  • policies governing student life outside the classroom;
  • services, activities, and regulations in the Enrollment Services and Student Success area;
  • matters in the Enrollment Services and Student Success area that require attention;
  • matters about which the Vice President for Enrollment Services and Student Success seeks advice.

Membership

Vice President for Enrollment Services and Student Success (Co-Chair)
Dean of Students (Co-Chair)
One other Enrollment Services and Student Success Director
Two faculty members
Four undergraduate students
Two graduate students

Student Life Director is appointed by the Vice President for Enrollment Services and Student Success.

Faculty members are appointed by the President of the Faculty Senate.

Undergraduate students are appointed by the Executive Board of the Student Government Association in consultation with the Vice President for Enrollment Services and Student Success.

Graduate students are appointed by the President of the Graduate Student Council in consultation with the Vice President for Enrollment Services and Student Success.

Term

Student Life Director - one year with possibility of reappointment
Faculty - two years with possibility of reappointment
Students - one year with possibility of reappointment

Meetings

Meetings are held at least four times a year.
