Paul J. Sevensky, M.A.Assistant Professor/Director, Advertising/Public Relations Program
Paul Sevensky earned his bachelor’s degree in Journalism & Communications in 1974 from Point Park University in Pittsburgh and although he was a member of the news media only briefly before going into advertising and public relations, he has an ongoing interest in the state of the news media. He was with an advertising and public relations agency for two decades, serving as Vice President of public relations. After his agency work, he was a solo consultant in advertising and public relations for another 12 years. He has taught at Marywood for 25 years as an adjunct instructor. In 2011, he earned his master’s degree in Communication Arts from Marywood. He is the faculty adviser to the Marywood Chapter of the American Advertising Federation (AAF), the professional adviser to the Marywood Chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) and a special consultant to The Wood Word.
