Michael Mirabito, Ph.D.Professor/Chairperson
Michael Mirabito received a B.F.A. from New York University (Institute of Film & TV), an M.A. from New York Institute of Technology (Communication), and a Ph.D. from Bowling Green State University (Radio & TV). His publications include two books: The Exploration of Outer Space with Cameras: A History of the NASA Unmanned Spacecraft Missions (McFarland Press, Inc., 1983) and The New Communications Technologies (co-author; Focal Press; 5 editions from 1990-2004). More recently, Mirabito has focused on digital imaging and has participated in group and solo photography shows throughout the country. His teaching and research/creative work interests range from the new communications technologies to space exploration to Holocaust studies.
