Elijah Anderson,William K. Lanman, Jr. Professor of Sociology at Yale University, presented a lecture titled "Violence and the Inner-City Poor." He described his recent work on the lives of Philadelphia cabbies, the problem of work reentry among ex-convicts, and race relations in cosmopolitan social settings.
