Forage is a free and open-access online library of employer-designed job simulations. Develop your skills and gain a real understanding of different roles and sectors by working through self-paced modules, tackling tasks that mirror what you'd do if you were a real employee for that company.

During the program, you will work through a set of materials and tasks set by the company, which are designed to replicate the sort of work that you would undertake as an intern or graduate. All of our programs are self-paced (taking between 5 to 6 hours to complete) ensuring that you can fit your participation flexibly around other commitments.

These programs include:

  • Video instructions and materials created by employees within your chosen organization
  • Work that reflects real day-to-day tasks of interns and graduates
  • The chance to compare your work with that of a graduate at your chosen organization

What are the benefits?

  • Sample what work is like at leading companies
  • Discover career paths that you may not have previously considered
  • Build confidence and gain skills to get you 'work-ready'

Our programs are completely free and open-access for students, and there are no length application processes to complete one of our programs.

CovIntern

In the midst of the COVID-19 outbreak, most American college students are home from school, often with limited academic responsibilities and many companies are moving operations online to slow the outbreak's spread. Students remaining quarantined in their home can gain valuable experience in industry during this time through remote internships.

While remote internships have existed for some time, they're now more popular and needed than ever, when multiple states are under "Stay-at-Home" orders and millions of students are home from college. CovIntern connects employers with positions and programs to fill with students from top universities with available time and a desire to learn.

Parker Dewey Micro-Internships

Our Micro-Internships program connects students to our diverse network of companies and organizations to take on professional, paid, short-term assignments year-round. As a complement to existing campus recruiting efforts and semester-long internships, Micro-Internships provide opportunities for Career Launchers to demonstrate their skills, develop relationships, and explore career paths, while providing real value to businesses.

Get Professional Experience Now
Micro-Internships allow students to apply to short-term, professional assignments, while also allowing companies to identify and assess highly motivated college students and recent graduate for fit should there be full-time opportunities. Unlike traditional internships, these paid opportunities typically range from 5 to 40 hours of work, can be completed year-round, and help students develop career skills while
getting paid.

Get Hired

Companies have recognized that major and GPA alone do not predict career success or fit. Unlike assessments, video interviews, algorithms, and other applicant screening technology, Micro-Internships improve hiring effectiveness by allowing companies to authentically evaluate a Career Launcher’s skills and work ethic upfront. Both employers and candidates win by having an opportunity to do actual work with one another before committing to an internship or full-time role.

  • You gain professional experience.
  • Companies get immediate support.
  • Enhance your resume and find the right full-time role.

Receive Meaningful Opportunities
Most college majors don’t sound like job titles. But you come from a competitive, open-minded environment and have powerful motivation to exceed expectations as you look to land your first job.
Micro-Internships enable you to utilize classroom knowledge and campus support to complete professional assignments while gaining experience and demonstrating research, problem solving, and communication skills.
Micro-Internships enable businesses to audition talent to see
how the fit into the company. This innovative way to evaluate
candidates alleviates temporary resource constraints while
Career Launchers showcase their skills and character.

If you have not already logged in you will just need to create your own password.  Once logged in, simply click on Community and search for Marywood University only, and then in the Name search box type in MENTOR. This will populate the list of all of our alumni mentors who are ready and waiting for you to reach out.  If you find a mentor that you would like to communicate with simply click on the Message button.
