Education Department is looking for volunteers to assist in grading test papers, data entry of test scores, putting program packets together or translating education programs/appointments.

Deliver meals on a weekly basis to homebound persons who are unable to prepare meals for themselves because of physical disabilities, old age or temporary illness.

~Hospital Elder Life Program~

Volunteers needed to work in partnership with doctors and nurses to provide geriatric care. Some volunteer opportunities include communicating with the patients, relaxation techniques, recreation, comfort/spirituality, and meals.

~Translator~

Volunteers are needed to translate for families who come for items and services at the Baby Pantry

 

~Pantry Assistant~

Volunteers needed to assist with various aspects of the operation of St. Joseph's Baby Pantry (i.e sorting donations, distribution and recording of donations etc.)

~ Mother Infant Program~

Volunteers needed to babysit infants & toddlers while mothers attend weekly house meeting, Southside location. 1-1+1/2 hours (usually Thursday nights)


Spanish speaking volunteers needed to assist with baby pantry item distribution
at Scranton Primary Healthcare Center.

~Conversation Partner~

Volunteers needed to give a SCOLA ESL student a chance to use the English they are learning in an everyday setting.

GIRL SCOUTS IN THE HEART OF PENNYSYLVANIA

~Special Education Majors~

Outreach Manager: Work directly with girls on Girl Scout programs for 1-2 hrs weekly. Skills needed include: enjoy working with kids of all ages, patience, and flexibility.

Varying times- will work with student schedule

Girl scout leader- Must be 18years old

Are you a music major, or do you simply enjoy playing an instrument?

We are looking for individuals for ongoing opportunities to play with the band, sing in the chorus, and participate in musical productions. There are also opportunities for internships through the program.

POCONO EQUESTRIAN CENTER

We are in need of volunteers that can walk beside a child while on a horse and horse leaders (lead the horse).  Also people who would like to hold / help with fundraising events.  We operate out of Mystic Mountain Stables in Madison Twp. (20 miles from Scranton).
