Women's History Month Celebration

The Social Sciences Department will celebrate Women's History Month with a reception, performance, and award for writing and creative work.
This event, which is free and open to the public, will include a performance depicting the life of Mary Harris "Mother" Jones (1837-1930), an Irish-American schoolteacher and dressmaker who became a prominent labor rights activist and community organizer. The award for writing and creative work will be given at the reception, along with special recognition of Sister Margaret Gannon, founder of the Women's Studies minor and a tireless advocate for women's studies on Marywood's campus and around the world.
