No More Plastic Bags

The Bookstore is phasing out the use of plastic bags. Once our current supply of plastic
bags is gone we are not ordering any more!

We give out over 120,000 plastic bags every year and want to stop those bags from
going into our local landfills.

Please bring your own bag, or you can purchase our biodegradable, re-usable bag
for $1.00. When you purchase our bag you will receive a "Go Green" punch card.

Each time you use your "Go Green" bag present this card and on your 10th purchase
receive a free Marywood T-Shirt"

Our $1.00 re-usable bags can be used over and over again and are extra large in order
to accommodate heavy textbooks and other bulky items. When you're finished with them
(hopefully after 1000s of uses!) they can be added to a composter and will completely
break down.

We also have a wide selection of backpacks, laptop bags, messenger bags, and
briefcases, which are great options for reducing your consumption of plastic bags.

While recycling is certainly an option for plastic bags, we believe that reducing the overall
number of plastic bags and actively promoting re-usable (non-plastic) bags is the best
long term option for sustainability.
